TAO report questions
Check the product scope and records you need before ordering.
Is a wallet address enough?
A public coldkey helps locate on-chain activity. It does not reveal original exchange purchase costs or omitted off-chain trades. UK calculations need original opening costs and relevant exchange history. The US beta requires complete normalized 2025 records and original USD lots with acquisition dates.
Which report should I choose?
Choose the accountant ledger for valued records without country-specific matching. The UK report applies the published UK calculation method. The US 2025 beta uses supplied records for USD FIFO worksheets. Use the report selector to check the input requirements before paying.
Will you file my return or provide an accountant?
No. These are records and computation products. You or your adviser review the assumptions and decide what to file. Independent professional review and filing are not included.
Can I import the CSV into my tax software?
The CSVs are supporting records and worksheets. We do not promise compatibility with a third-party importer. Check the required schema before relying on an import workflow.
What happens if records are missing?
Missing history affects the figures and is stated where relevant. For the US beta, unresolved matching gaps block complete calculation and delivery. Do not replace unknown original costs with today’s price.
Do I need to connect a wallet or provide private keys?
No seed phrase, private key or SSN is needed. Keep customer records and order tokens private. Public examples use fictional data.
Can an agent read the reports and order for me?
An agent can read the public product catalog, method and these examples. Reading them creates no order. Checkout requires buyer input and acceptance of terms; private order status and downloads require the buyer’s token. The documented order API is read-only.
